Alverton school in Penzance contracted BWF to build a full turn key classroom facility replacing an old building, including separate toilets and cloakroom. Built using our super efficient 150mm SIPS and clad with our graded 1-111 Kiln Dried Siberian Larch to make for a suburb finish. With an EPDM roofing system and fibreglass trims, the guttering system was cleverly hidden within the make up of the building. Externally we provided an anti slip composite decked area with glass balustrades to create outdoor play space, accessed from the bi-fold doors. This build was completed through the summer holidays and handed over ready for the start of the new term.
“We’re delighted with the new classroom your company constructed during the summer. It has been the subject of much discussion and admiration amongst the school community and is a great addition to our site. On a practical level I would like to add what a pleasure it has been to work with a company who have stuck to the deadlines set, and have put in such extra efforts to ensure that the tight deadlines were met enabling the room to be ready at the start of term. The communication and desire to accommodate our needs from your team, in particular from our dedicated project manager, he has been first class. So thank you.” Alverton School
